There is controversy in the added value a student gets out of a degree in Masters of Business Administration (MBA). Experts outside of the field argue that the MBA degree program provides courses for students, but that the courses are not teaching the students skills that they need for the field. For example, Bill Gates and Ted Turner say they didn’t bother with the degree because over a span of years the degree lessens in value (12). Attaining an MBA degree has better benefits than those who don’t because a degree ensures that you are qualified and skillful in doing your job. Having an MBA degree enhances management practice becaus e it gives you tools that prepare you for the field, a broader perspective on how business is run, and enriches your learning experience by networking with peers of various disciplines.
